On the day of Private Show Case to TRSE and invited guests. DK talks with 2hbtv about her Award which was given to 30 Nigerians for the New World Nigeria project during Olympics 2012. Below are some quotes from some of the selected attendee’s and other 30NigeriaHouse Award Winners.

“30 Nigeria House Project was about nurturing and creating a platform for emerging talent of Nigerian heritage.  Damilola Fashola is a shining example of the passion and dedication it takes to make your dream happen. Damilola’s  project Broken Square has a lot of potential and the cross artforms add to the eclectic mix of performances.  I look forward to seeing the development of Broken Square her company Silhouetttez in the Dark and more importantly the rise of Damilola Fashola herself.” –    Jo Producer – 30 Nigeria House

“It was incredible! Beautifully put together. I’d Rate it all the stars in the sky!” – Catherine Labiran

It was enchanted and captivating. very graphic and sensual for me! – Elizabeth Adeola Ayoola

“I really liked the abstract nature…I feel there is an esoteric conversation there that pulls the audience in, we want to feel a part of it. It’s also mystical, movements entrance in a way that makes me reflect on narrative possibilities…where this journey ultimately leads.” – Ola Malachi

“Highly innovative and wonderfully moving…I look forward to seeing the finished product” – Annabel Sowemimo

“It was gripping, full of life and energy that kept you on the edge of your seat wanting more” – Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor

DK Fashola Poetry for Sale

Head over to Blurb’s website to buy yourself a copy of our director DK Fashola’s poetry collection, dealing with a range of important and thought-provoking themes, many of which will also be explored in our upcoming production BROKEN SQUARE.

A quick update on the current status of BROKEN SQUARE the theatrical production –

Our director DK recently attended a meeting with the lovely people over at Theatre Royal Stratford East and unfortunately due to TSRE’s busy schedule we will not be able to use this space for the production. However, TRSE have said that they will support us in any way they can, and we are in the process of tracking down another venue in London for performances provisionally to take place in November this year, so all is definitely not lost! We are confident that we will find an ideal home for BROKENSQUARE, so watch this space…

We will keep all our followers updated on our progress, and if you know of anywhere that would be perfect for BROKEN SQUARE to be performed in London let us know – all input is welcomed by this arts alliance!

Thank you for your support, and keep checking Facebook and Twitter for more info and news!
